2014

Iceland

I have researched this wonderful place from home and always wanted to work with a reflection. Once there, this was not so easy. Strong winds and difficult compo-conditions made me a spanner in the works. The light was dim and gray, and the right peak was in constant fog. So I took no photo and tried my luck two days later. Although I had 400 km drive back because I was already in Vik. But the weather was pounding on sun with partly clouds. I arrived late in the evening and after another chilly night in the car a wonderful rich morning light in which no breeze was blowing met me.

Indulgence of

Beauty

Morning fog moved repeatedly over the Hintersee in south-east Germany, and spread a magical mood. The early sun broke into numerous rays through the mountain forest by the shore. Thanks to the absolutely silent and clear water a perfect reflection was possible. I rarely see such light. That´s why I´m even happier to have been at the right time at the right place.

Celebrating Beauty

Seychelles

Paradisiacal islands in the Indian Ocean. Besides beautiful and palm fringed beaches, breathtaking rock formations I could explore the tropical rainforest in the mountainous interior. Despite the rainy season, I was gifted with almost every twilight phase with unique lighting. Enjoy the break!

Fairytale Sea

Lofoten

In early February 2013, I was allowed to photograph the rugged beauty of the Lofoten, an island-chain crisscrossed by fjords and 1000 m high mountains beyond the Arctic Circle, for 10 days. Beside majestic-winter landscapes I was also witness an indescribable natural phenomenon - The mystic Northern Lights.

ICELAND

In January 2014 I was allowed to photograph the epic beauty of Iceland. Especially in winter the rough landscape shows off in the atmospheric Nordic light. Even the hunt for the dancing elves, the Aurora, has been crowned with success.

Alps

Alps

The Alps - rocky cliffs and bizarre mountains next to crystal clear lakes and fresh flowering meadows. The Slovenian Triglav National Park still contains some jungle-like forests topped with turquoise creeks and waterfalls. Even in mid-June I sometimes had to struggle with waist-deep snow. But spending only one solitary night under the starry sky, all hardships are forgotten.
